Class Flow Chart

At Expressions, we pride ourselves on helping each student grow in his or her unique, individual needs. Whether it's dancing or tumbling for fun, making high school drill or cheer team, or competitive dance...there are many paths for a student at Expressions!

Use the flow chart below to help you decide on the best path for your dancer!
Note: These are just a few highlighted paths we suggest, NOT the only paths to take at Expressions.

PreK & Kinder - First Day

*Talk to your dancer the night before class to help prepare him or her for the first class.

*Make sure your dancer has gone to the restroom before class begins.
*Wear tap shoes first and put ballet shoes in labeled bag

*Arrive a few minutes early to park and get into the studio as arrival and departure times can be congested at the studio

*Talk to moms whose dancer has danced with Expressions before

*Stop by our front desk to ask our customer care team ANY questions you might have

Spot TV

Expression Dance and Music is excited to offer Spot TV as a way to observe your child in class from a desktop or mobile device! Spot TV utilizes our closed circuit camera system to provide a live streaming service that allows parents to login
Some advantages of this capability are:
*Parents that travel for work during the week can log in and watch their child in dance class
*A Caregiver or parent who has multiple sibling drop offs can check in on their dancer
*Families that alternate carpool days can still watch their child from wherever they are and more!

We love the conviencence of SpotTV for our parents. You are able to log in to a secure, password protected portal to watch your dancers class live from anywhere!

      Please follow the instructions below to activate your account.

*Note approval can take up to 24 hours so make sure to activate your account BEFORE your dancer's class.

1. Download the free mobile app. Search SPOT TV FAMILY in the App Store

2. On the App's home screen, select the button New here? Sign up to complete your registration. Select the room your dancer's class is in (refer to registration email). ie. Stage 3

3. The studio's management team will activate your account once your information and your child's viewing schedule have been verified

You can also access Spot TV via your parent portal.
Note: Do not screen shot or screen record or Spot TV will suspend your account

Picture Day

REMINDERS:
*Please have your dancer dressed and ready to take his/her picture at the beginning of class that day.

*Your dancer can wear their hair how they choose for pictures. Light make up is recommended

*We will take both individual and class pictures.

*Pictures will be ordered online so no packets this year! Look for a separate email with details and a letter from our photographer.

Use your memo that was with your dance costume and read over instructions on how to wear your costume and we can help assist with minor things once you arrive. Click below for a combined list of all Recreational classes costume memos:

*Note: Due to limited space, we ask that parents send dancers into class and the teachers will assist with photos. After pictures are taken, we use picture week as a mini dress rehearsal for your dancer and will keep them until their normal class time is over.
