Julia Van Pelt

Julia is from Houston, Texas where she trained for 15 years in various styles including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, hip hop, open and pom. Julia trained at Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance where she was a member of the competitive company, ballet ensemble, performing group and Houston Repertory Dance Ensemble. In high school, she was a four-year member of the Clear Falls Emeralds where she served as Junior Lieutenant her junior year and Colonel her senior year. During her time on the team, she won many awards for her dancing and choreography. She started choreographing and teaching at the age of 16. Through choreographing and teaching Julia was able to work with many talented dancers in the Houston Area. She currently is a senior assistant for Michelle Leagans and is on staff with Crowd Pleasers Dance. Julia is currently pursuing a Business major and a minor in dance. She can’t wait to share her passion and knowledge with all of the talented students at Expressions!
