Kim is thrilled to be teaching and choreographing at Expressions Dance and Music! Kim began her love of dance and performance taking lessons as a young girl with Doris Rouse, Vicky Thomas, Lou Alcorn, and Pat George Mitchell. Over the years she has had the good fortune to train with the best teachers in the dance world allowing her to continue to grow and keep current with changing styles & teaching methodologies.She is a graduate of Texas A&M University- B.A. English Lit/minor Political Science, and Angelina College AA in Pre-Law. While a student at TAMU she was awarded academic
excellence, served on MSC Hospitality, and Aggie Players. At Angelina she was a performer for Show Choir, Chorale,Theatre, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. During her competitive years Kim was Captain of her Drill Team & Drum Major of the band while baton twirling and playing flute. She won numerous awards, titles, and high point honors in dance, musicianship, singing & acting, as well as winning various talent shows, pageants, state mock trial, etc. Kim has enjoyed singing professionally in a top 40’s band, in the Brazos Valley Chorale, Hayloft Saturday Night, GBC Worship Team, MSC Talent Show, BVT Broadway OPAS Performer, GBC Alleluia Kids Choir Director, vocalist for Young Life Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Christian Women’s Club, and has performed in dinner theaters, as pageant MC, as well as dance competition, pageant, and drill/dance team audition judge. Kim’s students, which includes three of her own children, have won many honors, scholarships, awards, and titles at venues such as NYCDA, Starbound, Showstoppers, JUMP, NUVO, LADM, WCDE, Stage One, Encore Performing Arts, Tremaine, The Pulse, ASH, Crowd Pleasers, ADTS and others. They have been accepted to intensives including NYCDA, AMDA, Final Cut, Kairos, Hollywood Summer Tour, & ABT, Joffrey, Austin, Houston, and Nashville Ballets, They have gone on to become teachers in the arts, Kilgore College Rangerettes, models, and have professional credits on T.V., stage, and live performance venues. She is extremely proud of every single student she has been able to teach! Kim has loved live theatre since seeing her first Broadway shows, A CHORUS LINE and THE WIZ! After that she became involved in theater in high school and has loved it ever since! Kim has served as choreographer and performer in many productions including, WIZARD OF OZ, WEST SIDE STORY, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, PILLOW TALK, OKLAHOMA, UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, PAINT YOUR WAGON, COME BACK LITTLE SHEBA, SOUND OF MUSIC, SOUTH PACIFIC, MAME, THE FANTASTICKS, MY FAIR LADY and others. Some of her favorite roles were (Peggy Sawyer) in 42ND STREET, (Rosemary) HOW TO SUCEED IN BUSINESS and (Meg) in LITTLE WOMEN. Her most memorable choreographic experiences were for FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and CAMELOT! Most recently
she choreographed “TITANIC, THE MUSICAL” and “OKLAHOMA” at The Theatre Company. Kim was the Director of Premiere Dance Academy for many years & instructor at The Performers Edge & RTF Productions in The Woodlands, as well as at Progressions Performing Arts, Spring. She is a member of The Texas Association of Teachers of Dance. Outside the dance studio she enjoys Genealogy, Cooking, Videography, and Photography. Kim
is currently the co-owner of Lone Star Twisters, First Choice Fundraising, and Reynolds Radio, and is wife to Ken & proud mother of five beautiful children Ryan, Joel, Reagan, Joshua, and Jordan.
