Kimberly is a graduate of Texas A&M University- B.A. English Lit/minor Political Science, and Angelina College AA in Pre-Law. While a student at TAMU she was awarded academic excellence, served on MSC Hospitality, and Aggie Players and at Angelina she was a performer for Show Choir, Chorale, and Theatre. During her competitive years Kim was Captain of her Drill Team & Drum Major of the band while playing flute. She won numerous awards, titles, first place, and high point honors in dance, musicianship, singing & acting, as well as winning various talent shows, pageants, state mock trial, etc. She has enjoyed singing professionally in a top 40’s band, in the Brazos Valley Chorale, Hayloft Saturday Night, GBC Worship Team, MSC Talent Show, BVT Broadway OPAS Performer, GBC Alleluia Kids Choir Director, vocalist for Young Life Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Christian Women’s Club and has performed in dinner theaters, as pageant MC and judge, as well as dance competition, pageant, and drill/dance team judge.
Kim’s instructional & choreographic experience has allowed her students to win many honors, scholarships, awards, and state/national titles at venues such as NYCDA, Starbound, JUMP, Showstoppers, NUVO, WCDE, Encore, Tremaine, The Pulse, & others and have been accepted to intensives such as ABT, Joffrey, NYCDA, Final Cut, & Austin, Houston, and Nashville Ballets. Her students have gone on to study dance, music & acting, graduate from leading performing arts Universities, become teachers in theatre, dance, dance team, musicians, K.C. Rangerettes, and have professional credits on T.V., stage, and live performance venues. Kimberly has loved live theatre since her first show in high school and has since served in props, set design, staging, and has choreographed and appeared in many productions including, “Pillow Talk”, “LittleWomen”, “The Fantastic’s”, “Oklahoma”, “Unsinkable Molly Brown”, “Wizard of Oz”, “Paint Your Wagon”, “Camelot”,“Come Back Little Sheba”, “Sound of Music”, “How To Succeed”, “42nd Street”, “West Side Story”, “South Pacific”, and others. She began her love of dance and performance taking lessons as a young girl with Doris Rouse, Vicky Thomas, Lou Alcorn, and Pat George Mitchell. Over the years she has had the good fortune to train with the best teachers in the dance world allowing her to continue to grow and keep current with changing styles & teaching methodologies.
Kim was the Director of Premiere Dance Academy for many years & instructor at The Performers Edge & RTF Productions in The Woodlands, as well as at Progressions Performing Arts/AJDC in Spring, TX and GGDF. She is a member of The Texas Association of Teachers of Dance, National Dance Association, AAPHERD, a Kindermusic Educator and she enjoys Genealogy and Photography. She is co-owner of First Choice Fundraising, is wife to Ken & the proud mother of five beautiful children Ryan, Joel, Reagan, Joshua, and Jordan.
She currently is an instructor at Expressions Dance and Music and absolutely loves the students and staff she is able to work with! She is thankful for the opportunity to teach here and encourage each and every student to reach their full potential, and to develop a life-long love of dance and music!
