EDMS Policies & Procedures
Registration: 2023-2024 a non-refundable fee of $50 per student is required yearly at time of registration and will be billed to the account provided upon registration. Note: There is not a registration fee for Master classes/Workshops or Summer
Payment of Fees: Tuition Installments must be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment. Tuition will be debited from your bank account on file on the 1st day of each month from August-May or charged to your credit card the 1st day of each month. The month of August is non-refundable. Credit card or bank debit payments are not accepted for in-person payment on a monthly basis. Payment must be made by pre-authorized automatic monthly payment. All charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as being from Lynsey Dorsett’s School of Dance. *Note: Class tuition does not vary from month to month even though some months will have more lessons than others. EDMS guarantees 34 lessons over the 2023-2024 year.
DANCE-SUMMER 2023- Upon registration, I give permission for Expressions Dance & Music to debt my checking account or card on file for the summer tuition of the classes and/or camps I have registered for. June 1st- all June camps & classes, July 1st- all July camps & classes
DANCE 2023-2024 -Upon registration I give permission for Expressions Dance & Music to immediately debt my checking account or card on file a $50 registration fee. I give permission for Expressions Dance & Music to debt my checking or credit card on file my tuition on the first of each month starting with
NSF Payments: I hereby authorize the school to electronically debit my bank account/credit card for the amount of any NSF paper check or auto-debit transactions plus a $25 NSF fee.
Costume Fees for Dance: Costume fees for the year-end recital will be charged to your auto-debit or auto-credit card charge October 31st. No costume fees will be refunded after this date even if a student withdraws from the school. Amounts for costume fees will be given out the month of September and average around $95/class depending on the class enrolled in.
Withdrawal and Refunds: There is a one-month minimum for all lessons. One-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted over the phone. Withdrawal must be done at the school office and not with the teacher. Withdrawal must occur within the first 7 days of the month. No withdrawals will be accepted after April 1. To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must: Inform school administration in person, and Complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by the school office.
Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes: If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, or natural disasters, class will not be made up. No refunds for lessons missed due to these reasons will be given.
Substitutions: The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up.
EDMS Closures: November 20-24 Thanksgiving, December 18-January 7 Christmas, March 11-15 Spring Break & April 29 Good Friday
Dance Dress Code for Dance: Required dance wear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to class could result in students being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of lessons. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street or outdoors, to any dance class. For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Long hair must be tied back.
